David Robert Jones, better known as David Bowie, was born on January 8, 1947, in London, England. From childhood, he showed an interest in music and theater, foreshadowing his future successful career. In the 1960s, Bowie began to gain prominence as a musician and singer, but it was only in the late 1960s that his talent truly began to shine.
Ziggy Stardust and the Chameleon Soul
